Great Dunmow Carnival
The Great Dunmow Carnival is on Saturday 21st September 2013.
The 2013 Great Dunmow Carnival Court:
Lucy Bennett, 15, from Felsted was last year's carnival queen and in October became a national carnival guild queen too. Following her success Lucy applied to be the town's queen again this year. Joining Lucy is Mia Simmons, 11, a Helena Romanes student and Clarisse Brignull, 10, who attends Dunmow Primary School.
The trio will represent Dunmow at Carnivals across Essex before the Great Dunmow Carnival.
The procession will gather from 10am at the Recreation Ground, judging takes place at 12 when the Recreation Ground opens and the Carnival Procession moves off at 1pm.
On the Recreation Ground you will find the Carnival Show, fun fair and amusements. There are also plenty of other attractions such as stalls with games, competitions, food and teas. The licenced Beer Tent is at the top of the field next to the Dordan Pavilion as is the BBQ. The Great Dunmow Carnival is one of the most attended Essex Carnivals. Come and join the fun!
ENTERTAINMENT
The Rec is open from 12 with Dunmow Carnival show starting at 2.15 and going through to 9.15 pm. This year as well as fantastic local original artists and groups we bring to you the superb:
