Entertainment 2011
THE REAL THING
Celebrating 36 years together the three original vocalists, Chris Amoo, Eddie Amoo and Dave Smith had three million selling hit singles in the 70's with "You To Me Are Everything", "Can't Get By Without You" and "Can You Feel The Force", plus other top ten successes, such as "You'll Never Know What You're Missing" and "Whenever You Want My Love". In 1986 "You To Me Are Everything", "Can't Get By Without You" and "Can You Feel The Force" were all remixed and became huge hits again. The boys are still very much in demand and in more recent times the Real Thing have had their version of "Eleanor Rigby" on the chart album "Liverpool The Number Ones" and also just released is their "The Singles Collection" a 35 track double album.
Their performance for Carnival 2011 includes all their top ten hits, plus a medley of classics from the seventies to get us strutting our disco stuff on the Rec! - Big hair, bright shirts & flairs are optional but a great party is guaranteed.

Anthony brings to life the sensational dancing and distinctive sound of Michael and the Jackson 5. Boasting a career spanning over 20 years which sees him perform over 150 shows annually. It's a spectacular show of non stop hits that pays homage to the world-class spectacle of Jackson's legendary live performances. Including the hits: I Want You Back, ABC, Beat It, Thriller, Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, Black or White, Man in The Mirror plus many more!

JONAS GRAILE
Local 5 Piece band JONAS GRAILE start the musical entertainment for us this year. Described as "a mess of heartache, skiffle, martial arts, escapology, blues 'n' soul, rock 'n' roll, rag 'n' bone". Jonas Graile is a fantastic bunch of incredibly talented musicians.
Take Dylan's poetic genius, Drake's sombre, hypnotic folk and the hardened road tales of Rory McLeod, and somewhere along the dusty tracks you'll meet Jonas Graile, a lone troubadour with a clutch of twisted skiffle/folk songs. Perfect for Kicking off the Carnival show 2011 in style.
